Asgaut Olsen Regelstad (1751-1847) was a delegate of the National Assembly at Eidsvoll 1814. The assembly made the constitution of Norway. Regelstad was a farmer from Reilstad on Finnøy. He was involved in many different projects on the island. He was a police sergeant on Finnøy from 1816 to 1823, and he was also the assistant of the minister, and a magistrate judge. He was also a member of the school board and involved in helping the poor. At Eidsvoll he was the only farmer from Stavanger county. He was a member of the Independence party at the convention. A memorial of Asgaut Regelstad is located next to Hesby church, Finnøy.
