We walk in and around in Stavanger City, to look at what makes Stavanger something more than just an oil capital.
Rogaland has traditionally been one of the country's food baskets. Our tour focuses on the flavors, smells and visuals of history.
The tour begins in the center of Stavanger and then into Old Stavanger to the Norwegian canning museum, here we have a tour where we can try us as “canning workers”. Then we taste the “silver of the sea.”
From the Canning Museum, the tour continues down to the fish market where we taste the catch of the day.
In the harbor we walk along the old sea houses, and we take a new stop to taste the herring period.
We look at what characterizes Stavanger as a food city, with the wide option of restaurants in the city
The endpoint of the trip will be at Butcher Idsøe, where we can taste specialties like the Gladmat sausage.
The trip takes approximately 1,5 – 3 hours, depending on if you have time.
