The beach house at Ølberg you'll find in unique surroundings on the beach. It is only 20 minutes from Stavanger, 12 minutes from Sandnes and 10 minutes from the airport. the restaurant is OPEN EVERY DAY from 11.00 (Mon-Sat) and from 13.00 on Sundays (Sunday buffet). Welcome to sea air, a sandy beach, a charming harbour and a spectacular view all year around!

The beach house at Ølberg - the kiosk at Ølberg has been a popular destination for beach walks, soft ice and french fries for 3 generations. Unluckily the old kiosk burned down I 2014. The old kiosk’s sad demise has now turned into excitement for the new beach house. We want to give everyone, young and old, great memories from experiencing the most beautiful beaches in Norway - the beaches of Jæren. The beach house lies on a small Jær beach and next to a charming harbour, everything easily accessible to all. It is not all about the fresh sea air and spectacular views when you visit the beach and the beach house. Also your taste buds are to remember that they have visited Ølberg. We welcome you to celebrate all of life’s highpoints, arrange a professional event for work or just enjoy great food from our kiosk. We are dedicated to honest food, great tastes and happy customers. The restaurant which is open every day serving sunday buffet on Sundays and a la carte the rest of the week is worth visiting. 

The restaurant
Come in, come in whoever you are! Here everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the tasty dishes and refreshments. The menu will vary with the seasons, and will be based on local produce of the best quality from both sea and land. All food is made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Welcome to a tasty experience all year round! We serve à la carte every day except Sundays. Then we serve Sunday buffet.

Sunday buffet
Go for a Sunday walk at Ølberg and experience their varied buffet with tasty temptations from both land and sea. Each Sunday the great chefs will create an exiting buffet of warm and cold dishes. The kitchen is open every Sunday from 1pm to 7pm and we have 3 seatings: 13.00, 15.00 and 17.00. For reservations, please call us at 478 25 000.

Wine cellar
The wine cellar is on the lower ground floor, tucked away from the outside winds and noise. Here they have created a secluded and intimate atmosphere to store their most noble drops. The wine cellar is a great place to organise all kinds of smaller events and gatherings. As in the rest of the house, the wine cellar is fitted with all the technical equipment you will need. If you are more than 20 persons, the lease of the wine cellar is free.

The surroundings, the atmosphere, the entertainment and the food; everything must be top quality when your event is to be organised. In the beach house they both know and have what it takes: A great location where the sea meets the sky and the beach, attentive hosts who do whatever is needed, an enthusiastic kitchen that serves tasty dishes – and their maritime surroundings. Here everything is in place to make your event just as memorable as you and your guests deserve.

Ølbergstranden is an excellent choice when you need to gather your troops and think new thoughts. Here sand dunes, beaches and a charming fishing boat harbour surround you, while the panoramic views serve sea and sky as far as the eyes can see. Location
Ølbergstranden is situated only a short drive from Sola, Stavanger, Sandnes, Forus and the airport. All the meeting rooms are fitted with the latest technical equipment. The wireless network is available for all guests, free of charge of course.
