Tou is one of Norway's largest independent cultural institutions, established in 2001. It is located in the old brewery premises of Tou Bryggerier in Stavanger East.

Tou – A Hub for Arts and Culture

Established in 2001 in a former brewery, Tou has become an independent arts and culture centre. Over the years, it has expanded significantly, transforming into a dynamic venue with stages, rehearsal rooms, project spaces, studios, workshops, production facilities, and catering services. Today, Tou serves as a fully equipped and professional centre, supporting various cultural and creative industries at different stages of their development. It is both a production site and a platform for showcasing art and culture in the region.

Art Production

More than 200 cultural professionals from diverse fields work at Tou daily, alongside hundreds of visiting artists throughout the year. Their production facilities include:

Tou Atelierhus: Studios, a showroom, a performance hall, and an art shop

Tou Trykk: A graphic workshop with a dedicated showroom and gallery

Tou Lyd: Studios, rehearsal spaces, and live rooms for recording

T-Time Vinyl: Vinyl pressing facilities with a majestic listening room

Meeting Spaces

When not in use for cultural programming, Tou’s spaces are available for private events, ensuring a sustainable and modern business model.
