Varden Sjøredningsmuseum shows rescue equipment used for sea rescue from mid 1850 and onwards.
On the area of Ogna camping, Brusand. Tells the story of the rescue work along the dangerous Jæren coast. Organised rescue work started in 1852 and there were several bases along the coast. The bases were in operation until 1977 and the museum was open that year for documenting how rescue operations were done in previous years. The museum is open for guided tours based on the appointments. One yearly acitivity day.
