FØLVIKA NORTHERN RETREAT

Følvika Northern Retreat is the place for those looking for something extraordinary. The place is completely on its own on Sandhornøy. The last 5-600 meters you do by foot or with ATV. Here you can walk along the shoreline or go hiking in the mountains. 

Følvika Nothern Retreat offers two domes for accommodation.  They are situated close to the beach with great views.  Each unit has a toilet nearby.  There is equipment for simple coocking in the dome or you can use the outdoor cooking facilities. 

In the immediate vicinity are two great beaches and opportunities for barbecues. The 2 km long sandy beach Langsanden is only a couple of kilometers away.

The Følvika Northern Retreat is a great accommodation for those who want to experience Sandhornøya island and Gildeskål. Make sure to visit the Bilx café at Våg. We recommend taking a ferry from Horsdal to Sund and visit Gildeskål Old Church, which is near the small town Inndyr. There is also an interesting shop with local products located by the church. 

The easiest way to get to Følvika is to take off from road 17 and drive over the Sandhornøya bridge. Follow road 7438 until you reach junction 7438 and 7450. You will then arrive at Følvika and take the first left on 7450 (junction) (look for the yellow mailbox) and park there.
