Sandnessjøen camping is located at Steiro along the Rv 17, 10 kilometers south of Sandnessjøen. Sandnessjøen Camping is just a short walk from the mountains De Syv Søstre and the local airport.
At Sandessjøen Camping you live in a relaxed atmosphere with fantastic views to both the fjord and the mountains. There are cabins with several bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom, as well as simpler cabins without shower / toilet. The cabins are nicely located near the sea. It is idyllic and secluded location for tents and caravans with panoramic views.
The camping site is a perfect place to start hiking on the mountain range - De Syv Søstre (The seven sisters) and many other activities on the spectacular coast of Helgeland.
The campsite has nice rocks by the shoreline from where to go swimming or to fish from.
Sandnessjøen Camping is a good starting point if you want to explore the Petter Dass Museum, the islands of Herøy and Dønna. and of course Alstahaug and Sandnessjøen.
