Visit the old fishing village Sør-Gjæslingan, a cultural heritage since 2010. In the summertime you may visit the islands by boat.
Sør-Gjæslingan is a group of small islands facing the stretch of sea Folla 15 nautical miles (approx. 27 km) southwest of Rørvik. In its time, this was one of the largest and most important fishing villages south of Lofoten. Several thousand fishermen were gathered here during the season.
Here you can live in historic fisherman's cabins far out on the Folla Sea. You can stay for several days or take day trips by boat. Boat routes for the summer of 2021 at www.atb.

Norveg, the Coastal Museum, in collaboration with SalmoNor, takes you on a unique time travel in seafood history. In the summer season, you can join a fantastic boat trip to a modern salmon farm and experience the historic fishing village Sør-Gjæslingan.
