Rent a bike and discover more of Arendal and its surroundings.
Bicycles are available for rent at the Arendal Tourist Information Office and Arendal in the town centre from May-August, as well as at Hove camp on the island Tromøy and Trommestad tunet on the island of Hisøy. The bikes come in four different sizes, and helmets are included in the price.
The North Sea Route passes through our region, as does the National Cycling Route 1, with plenty of signs. In addition to these we have maps and brochures for a number of shorter trips in and around Arendal. Take for instance a trip around the historic residential areas on Hisøy island, with a possible swim in the ocean on your way. The trails on Tromøy are between 7,7 and 40 kms long, and also displays the way to beaches, a hotel, hiking paths and cafés.
Longer bicycle trips eastwards, for instance to Eydehavn, are also available, and please stop at the museum when you get there. Other routes are of course also possible, just ask at the tourist office for more tips.
Our bikes are free to bring on board the Tromøy ferry.
