Hove and Spornes






Hove and Spornes is a fantastic recreational area located in the heart of Raet National Park in Arendal. The area is designed for enjoying nature, hiking, swimming, watching the waves crash against the shore, and much more!
Hove and Spornes are situated on the southern half of Tromøya, just a 10-minute drive from downtown Arendal, but it can also be reached by boat. The area features a large pine forest, and along its edge, you’ll find Hovekilen, a great spot for swimming. The terrain transitions from sandy beaches to pebble shores, with several kilometers of trails to explore along the coastline. The hiking areas are popular among both children and adults throughout the year, in both summer and winter.
Nearby, you will also find TrollAktiv Hove, a high ropes course for the whole family.
