Løkholmen has been transformed into a wonderful new bathing spot for all those who enjoy swimming.
Løkholmen has become a popular bathing and recreation spot.
When the building plans for Bryggebyen were approved, it was a prerequisite that the developer had to establish a bathing area on Løkholmen, as it was before industry took over in the 60s.
Developer Arendal's Fossekompani did more than just establish a swimming area. Løkholmen and the surrounding area were cleared thouroghly, and re-established as an islet. Beaches, a volleyball court, obstacle course, playground, diving board, wheelchair ramp and beach promenade have been established.
