Løkholmen beach and recreation area

Løkholmen is one of Arendal’s most popular places for swimming and recreation, with a beach, piers, diving board, volleyball court, playground, and facilities for wheelchair users. Here you can take a swim, enjoy the sunshine, or simply relax while looking out over the fjord.

Located right by Kystveien, Løkholmen is only a short walk or bike ride from the city centre along the coastal path. What was once an industrial area has now been transformed into a green oasis for everyone – a place where urban life meets the calm of the archipelago.

Løkholmen was established as part of the Bryggebyen development. Today, this little island has once again become a place for togetherness, play, and summer memories – just as it was for generations before.
