Arendal

Cruise with sailing cutter Boy Leslie

Cruise with the venerable Boy Leslie - Arendal's pride - and experience the winds and waves as in the days of sailing boats!

Boy Leslie was built as a fishing vessel in England in 1911. The sailing ship has belonged in  Arendal since 1979 and has been restored during those 40 years to its original appearance as an English sailing trawler. Boy Leslie is protected by the National Antiquarian (riksantikvaren) and constitutes an important cultural monument on both sides of the North Sea.

The sailing cutter Boy Leslie is owned and operated by Foreningen S/K Boy Leslie. The association rents the vessel to both private groups and businesses, ranging from short lunch trips to trips over several days. Tours with Boy Leslie are also often arranged in collaboration with the county's festivals and cultural events.

Boy Leslie is certified to sail with up to 50 people on the entire southern coast. Experience a real sailing ship in a stunning coastal landscape.
