Stolpejakten Arendal /Pole hunt

What is Stolpejakten or Pole Hunt in English?

The pole hunt consists of finding poles centrally located in various municipalities. Pole visits can be registered on paper, on the website or via the pole hunting app on your mobile phone, so that you can scan the QR code that each post is equipped with.

We aim to facilitate the activation of both young and old, regardless of functional ability. Watch video on Youtube for more about the Pole Hunt.

It is the first year that it is possible to participate in pole hunting in Arendal. Still, Arendal has already managed to become the largest in number of participants and pole visits in Southern Norway.

Until now, there have been 6885 unique pole hunters in Arendal and they have visited the poles 571773 times. Incredible numbers.

There are currently 7 trails in Arendal:

- Arendal city and surroundings 40 poles,

- Hove Spornes and Bjellandstrand approximately 8 km, 50 posts

- Arendal Water Festival 2024 approximately 5.5 km with 42 posts

- Kleine Karer SK’s trail at Lunderød approximately 5 km, 36 posts

- Bjarne and Jan’s forest trail at Alve, Tromøy approximately 7 km, 61 posts

- Hisøy School, Kolbjørnsvik and Slaabervig approximately 8 km, 57 posts

- Nissekart Ændal 2024 approximately 4.5 km, 40 posts

In total, there are 334 posts.

These posts will be available until 31.12.2024.

New trails will open in March 2025 with new and exciting locations.

NEW: NISSE TRAIL

Nissekart Ændal is a nisse trail with 40 posts that opened in and around Arendal on 2 November 2024, which will stay open until 31 December 2024.

A nisse is by the way a Norwegian elf. Hope with this to get many visiting pole hunters to the city during the Christmas months.
