Tvedestrand offers a coastal path in old cultural landscape and idyllic old settlements along the sea. The path is marked, and leads to the cabin Kystmeldehytta at Langhei where there is a panoramic view towards the sea from Risør to Tromøy. The cabin was used as an observation area for defence reasons from 1905 until after World War II.
