Spellemann Award-winning DeLillos bassist and co-songwriter Lars Beckstrøm meets EDVARD Award recipient and regular lyricist for Dance With Stranger, Adam Douglas, and Knut Reiersrud, Jeff Wasserman, in a musical landscape somewhere between Stonehenge, The Grand Ole Opry, and Valdres.

Jeff Wasserman and Lars Beckstrøm met at a jam session in 2017. They quickly hit it off when they discovered their shared love for the British Isles and American folk music from the 60s and 70s, such as Incredible String Band, Fairport Convention, Mike Seeger, and John Prine, as well as traditional folk music from these countries. Since then, they have met weekly – even throughout the pandemic. Both Beckstrøm and Wasserman are renowned songwriters, and both have released numerous albums with their own songs. It didn't take long before they started writing songs together, inspired by their shared musical loves, and have now recorded the songs on a new album! Both have thousands of live concerts behind them. Beckstrøm with DeLillos, Beckstrøm Quartet, Humble Servants, and Dei nye kapellanane. Wasserman with Gone At Last, Jeffrey’s Reverie, Folkadelic Circus (with Claudia Scott, Tove Bøygard, and Jørun Bøgeberg), and Øyvind “Elg” Elgenes, with whom he wrote “Everyone Needs A Friend”. Experience cannot be taught – it must be acquired over time. With a combined 70 years of experience, Beckstrøm and Wasserman have mastered the art of touching and gripping the audience's heartstrings with a warmth and honesty rarely experienced today. This acoustic folk duo must be experienced. Both are multi-instrumentalists, and together they create new, surprising, and enchanting arrangements on a folk music journey with their own songs, traditional Celtic and American tunes, and some Norwegian ones.
