Bathing areas in Risør

Kastellet

At the far end of Tangen, right next to the old coastal fort, you will find a cozy little bathing jetty. Perfect for a quick dip when you just need to cool off.

Urheia
In Urheia you will find several fresh waters with bathing opportunities. Urheia is within walking distance of the city. Walk up Urbakken, possibly park the car at Risørflekken or Lindalen.

Sagjordet
Great swimming facility at Krana with a jetty, a small sandy beach and lawn. Child-friendly with diving board, shower, WC, barbecue area and parking space. Universally adapted.

Mindalen
Idyllic bathing jetty on Sundet by the Sørfjorden with a small sandy beach. Suitable for children who can swim.

Randvik beach
Child-friendly and shallow bathing beach at Randvik. The beach has WC and shower. Walk the coastal path to Randvik, approx. 30 minutes from the center of Risør or drive from the city to Viddefjell. Follow Caspersen's road from the roundabout approx. 800 meters and turn left towards Randvik. Large car park at the Lekeslottet kindergarten. The beach at Randvik is universally adapted with a wheelchair ramp.

City beach:

Child-friendly beach at Holmen. White sand and views of the city.

In the skerries: Perleporten: A warm natural harbor in the eastern archipelago with both a sandy beach and rocky cliffs. WC. Arrival by own boat.

Breibukt:

Child-friendly, fine sandy beach on Vardøya, arrival by own boat.

Little Denmark:
Child-friendly and long shallow sandy beach with grass lawn and rocky outcrops on Risøya. WC, arrival by own boat or the Øysang ferry in the summer season.

Skallet:
Cozy swimming area among rocky cliffs with a view of the city, arrival by own boat.

Stangholmen:
Large island facing the sea gap with many bathing spots on rocky cliffs. New shower and toilet facilities, washing machine and dryer, restaurant on site. Fixed boat route to Stangholmen Lighthouse from St. Hans until mid-August, departure from Hukken. Universal fit.

Finnøya:
The sailing association's place in Kranfjorden. With bathing areas, kiosk, barbecue, guest harbor and sanitary facilities.

Risøya:
The Motorbåtforeningen's place with bathing areas, kiosk, barbecue, guest harbor and sanitary facilities.

Caroline:
Public bathing area at the child-friendly sandy beach at Sandnes in the Sandnesfjorden. Rest area, toilet and good parking close to the beach.

Outside the city centre:

Sørlandet Holiday Center:
Cozy little sandy beach with life rafts, small paddling pool for the little ones. Crab fishing from the jetty. Canoe, kayak and motorboat rental. Parking, cafe, shop, WC.

Havgløtt Bad, Sørlandet Holiday Center:
Modern heated outdoor swimming facility open to all.

Risør Resort Moen Camping:
Child-friendly sandy beach in the heart of Sørfjorden at Moen. With swimming raft, playground, crab fishing. Day visitors are welcome, parking available. Great hiking terrain nearby.
