Beisland Gjestegård

Beisland Gjestegård welcomes you to a tranquil countryside setting where heritage, local food and genuine farm life take center stage.
Beisland Gjestegård is a historic farm dating back to 1850, beautifully situated in the countryside of Grimstad. Guests are welcomed to an authentic farm experience with a rich sense of history, local food traditions and active agricultural life.
Event spaces
The farm offers flexible venues suitable for weddings, celebrations, courses and meetings. The restored barn spans several floors with rooms for both small and large gatherings, including a main hall accommodating up to around 80 guests. Visitors are welcome to participate in decorating, and the hosts provide assistance with setup and arrangements.
Local food and farm products
Beisland produces its own lamb and offers cured meats, traditional dishes and other products made from farm-raised ingredients. They also use wild plants such as spruce tips, dandelion and elderflower for juices, syrups and seasonings. These products are available for purchase in the farm shop.
Active farm life
The farm operates with agriculture, forestry and winter feeding of sheep. During summer, the animals graze in the Setesdal Vesthei mountains. Guests gain insight into genuine Norwegian farm life and a cultural landscape preserved through generations.
Atmosphere and surroundings
The buildings are restored with furnishings from the 18th and 19th centuries, creating a unique and historic setting. Beisland Gjestegård is a peaceful place rooted in tradition and good food experiences, suitable both for events and for visitors seeking the charm of rural Norway.
