Its an 7 km walk through beautiful woodland - mainly on footpaths. Along the path there are several signs marking places of interest.
You can choose to start this walk either from Engesland or Vegusdal. From Engesland follow road no. 291 for 500 m., then turn right.
From Vegusdal the best starting point is from Vegusdal gjestegård (farm/inn). Its an 7 km walk through beautiful woodland - mainly on footpaths. Along the path there are several signs marking places of interest. The road was used by people going to church until 1867. It passes by an ancient stone cross and the scenic lake Haukom with its traces of bloomery iron making. In this lake several dug-outs dating to the iron age and middle ages have been excavated. They are now exhibited at the local museum.
