Overview

This walk takes you along an old road from the 1860's.

For several kilometres you follow the same route as the ancient Kings-road between Jæren and Arendal. This road was built during the Viking period about 800AD.

Along the path there are several signs marking places of interest. The path goes up and down, along scenic lakes and moors. Just past Lake Aggevann look for a stone monument with an ancient inscription!

A special map and brochure is available for the area of Vegusdal. It shows about 30 km of marked footpaths.

This walk starts at Fidje, close to where the railway crosses road no. 406.
