Overview

Use a day or a week to walk in "Yohan's" footsteps. The walk offers authentic history, beautiful scenery, fresh air and not least physical education for all ages.

Only a little over a 100 years ago the children's hiking trail was a place where many poor families from the inner Vest-Agder were forced to send their children to go on tour, so that they could be put to work on farms and meadows to the East. The children, who could be as young as seven years old, worked mainly with dairy, haymaking or herding. The work was hard and the children often did not come home again until late fall. It was a dramatic, but also an optimistic story.

Take time this summer - for afterthought. Use a day or a week to walk in "Yohan's" footsteps. The walk offers authentic history, beautiful scenery, fresh air and not least physical education for all ages.
