Hiking in Sandsheia

A trip that takes you from the shore and up to 291 meters above sea level where you get a great view over Fedafjorden and Lista.

Dyreknuden (291 m.) is the highest point in Sandheia, located just west of Sande and southwest of Feda center. You can do this as a round trip, starting and stopping at Sande. Dyreknuden is a steep rock outcrop where it is hung ropes to assist getting up and down the steepest places. At the top there is a beautiful view over Fedafjorden and Lista.

6-14 km, 1-4 hours
For map and description (in Norwegian) see ut.no

You can continue until Haugeland Beach by following the marked trail. This trip is quite demanding as it is very hilly.

On the way back from Dyreknuden against Sande, take a detour to Skomakertippen. This is a mountain plateau that runs vertically down the fjord and has a fantastic view. Great view you also get from Kyrefjellet. Estimated Time and mileage is very dependent on which courses you choose.
