Gallery Gustav Vigeland is situated on the second floor of the Kulturtorvet.

The artist behind the famous Vigeland Park in Oslo, Gustav Vigeland, was born in Mandal but spent part of his childhood in Vigeland. As an adult, he spent almost every summer at the vacation spot Breime in Lindesnes.

At the Kulturtorvet in Vigeland center, you will find the Gustav Vigeland Gallery on the 2nd floor. More than 80 works by the artist are exhibited here. These are mainly woodcuts with motifs taken from the archipelago and the landscape in Lindesnes.

The gallery consists of a collection of 65 woodcuts deposited by the Vigeland Museum in Oslo, sculptures, plaster figures, as well as photos from the artist's life.

Five busts are also in the gallery, including those of Henrik Ibsen, Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson, and Emanuel Vigeland.

Various local films are shown, including "An Artist Returns Home" (30 min.), which is about Vigeland's life and connections to this southern district.

There is also exhibition space for rotating exhibitions, Arne N. Vigeland's collection - plaster sculptures, drawings, and paintings, parts of Ulf Dreyer's workshop.

On the 1st floor, there is a cozy café, library, and community center. On the 2nd floor, there is a beautiful exhibition area with rotating exhibitions and the Gustav Vigeland Gallery. In the basement, you will find the Lindesnes Rural Museum with over 2000 objects, Arne N. Vigeland's collections, as well as parts of Ulf Dreyer's workshop.
