Laudal Museum

At Laudal Museum, you'll discover many local treasures.
Laudal Museum is located next to Laudal School, along County Road 461. It offers a rich cultural history collection from the local community, giving visitors a glimpse into everyday life in earlier times — through objects from homes, schools, and working life.
The museum began with a generous gift from local merchant Jørgen Skuland, who in 1962 donated the house “Vollen” to Laudal Municipality, on the condition that it would be used as a museum. This donation became the foundation of today’s collection.
The exhibition includes a reconstructed classroom, historical interiors, household objects, workshop tools, shoemaker’s equipment, and early telecommunications devices.
