Mandal church is Norway's largest wooden church, consecrated in 1821.
This is Norway’s largest wooden church, consecrated in 1821. The church has 1300 seats and is a long church in a neoclassical/Empire style. The church was designed by the architect Jørgen G. Løser. By the exit door hangs the painting "The Resurrection of Christ" painted by the well-known artist Adolph Tidemand from Mandal.
In Mandal Church, services are held every Sunday, usually at 11:00 AM. Welcome!
