Lindesnes
Skrivergården

The town hall in Mandal is a magnificent building in the city center, right next to the town's garden, Skriverhaven.
The building is a replica of a castle located on the border between Scotland and England. Magistrate Friderich Fridrichsen was the builder, and the venerable building was completed in 1766. Master builder George Johnston was brought in from northern England to carry out the work, and the park was designed by the Danish-German gardener Friedrich Ludvig Blumenthal. The Skrivergården is today part of the town hall.
