Støa Toy Factory in Marnardal has been running since 1928, and we are carrying on the tradition with colourful wooden toys made of locally grown birch on to new generations of children.
Støa Toy Factory's history dates back to 1928, with a bunch of good ideas from Olav Fidjestøl's travels around the world. With local materials from the forests around the factory we started the production of first class wooden toys.
Local housewives painted the toys by hand, and therefor were historical in their entry to working life. Two changes in ownership have not interfered with the passion for country life and great handy craft. The factory's history is written as we speak in the forests of Marnardal, and you can join.
Come in to the workshop and experience the atmosphere, and see how toys are made. We can tell stories from the olden days, and you can buy coffee and cake in the cafe, and have a swim in the lake. Here you can make your own toy. It is a very nice place to spend the day for the whole family. Everyone is welcome!
