A lagoon in the skerries.
Ulsvika is beautifully located outside the center of Mandal, close to the Grønsvika treatment plant. There is a paved road from the treatment plant down to Ulsvika, but a lot of slopes. Ulsvika lies like a beautiful lagoon, sheltered from the weather and wind. Here there is an amphitheater along the water, a beach, boat dock, grassy area and toilet facilities. There are also some nice rock walls for climbing in the area if you have your own climbing equipment. There are also war memorials in the surrounding area in the form of bunkers and trenches, and there is a nice path west towards the center where you pass the salmon ladders (laksestige) which have a long history associated with salmon fishing in the Mandal River.
