The Bekkereinan company provides gourmet meats and food from local livestock in Kvinesdal, Southern Norway.
Bekkerainen Gourmet Meats In Kvinesdal, there is a unique husband and wife team that produce gourmet meat and foods from their own livestock. Their distinctive meats have won competitions and praise from critics and have been used in festivals and events all over Norway. These meats are sold from their store in the village centre of Kvinesdal.
Special breed of pigs They have a special breed of pig called the "Black Dala" which are quite rare in Norway. The breed originated from the "Old Typical pig" which is a specifically mixed bred pig.
On the mountain pastures and in the forest, these pigs live in their natural habitat. They get strong back and thigh muscles due to the relatively steep terrain and with so much exercise they eat a lot of organic foods including grass, heather, berries and roots. The ham is often compared to Spanish "Pata Negra".
