Hike to the hill fort at Åbestad

The hill fort of Bjorå is one of the best preserved hill forts in this part of Norway.
The fort is probably from approx. 400-600 AD. The hill forts were used in times of unrest during the late Roman period and Age of Migration (approx. 0-600 AD). The walls of the hill fort at Bjorå are clearly visible, giving you a good impression of the size of the fort.
There are signs from Ågedal, and there is a marked path up to the fort (approx. 1 km).
Drive to Konsmo and follow the signs to Kvås, turn off towards Skofteland Friområde and Åbestad.
