The Kongshamn Bryggerestaurant (restaurant) is located in Isbua on the island of Hidra in Flekkefjord. Isbua is an old, restored wooden icehouse, dating back to 1886. Kongshamn Bryggerestaurant consist of a stunning 1st floor restaurant whilst the second floor is used for conferences and private functions.

The restaurant is open for business with the owners Hege Hansen and Bernt Sætre who are both chefs with many years experience at top restaurants in Norway. From May until June, the restaurant will be open from Friday to Sunday and from mid June, it will be open every night of the week. Dishes do vary at the restaurant, but everything is produced locally and Hidra being a fishing islands, the fresh fish is amazing.

Next door to Kongshamn Bryggerestaurant lays the old house of Jørgine and Petter Pedersen. Today its transformed to a guesthouse.
From road E39, follow Rv44 through Flekkefjord. Follow the signs for the Hidra ferry terminal.
The ferry departs 35 minutes past the hour, every hour. The drive from Flekkefjord to ferry terminal takes approximately 15 minutes. The ferry journey takes ten minutes. Once at Hidra, follow the road for about 5 minutes until you see a sign for Kirkhavn. Take a right by the sign. Drive past the church and you will arrive at Isbua.
Isbua is about 2.5 hours from Kristiansand or Stavanger (including ferry)
and about 6.5 hours from the centre of Oslo.
