Konstali Gård museum

Konstali Gard

Konstali Gård offers tours at their farm museum with lots of history. There are also hiking, boating and fishing opportunities. There are also sheep and lambs for those who would like to interact with animals.

Konstali farm focuses on people, animals, nature and culture. The goal is that everyone visiting the farm gets to experience true recreation and enjoy activities while interacting with nature and the rich heritage from the farm.

Konstali farm has had domestic animals for 400 years. The first ones to arrive were cows, sheep, and goats. Today, there are sheep, goats and cats.

The farm has been owned by the same fammily since Øystein Knudson bought it inn 1633. “Gamlebua” is Vest-Agder County’s oldest wooden building, erected in 1530.

Approximately 100 years older than the farm, Gamlebua was moved there in 1747 by regiment blacksmith Tron Hoskuldson, who at that time owned the farm. He organised the moving of Gamlebua from the east side of Sirdalsvannet Lake. There are plenty of stories surrounding Tron Hoskuldson’s person, and he has left quite a trace on both the farm and in the nearby area.
