Taumevassletta
Stay overnight in a historical cabin at the popular Taumevatn.
Taumevassletta is an unattended mountain cabin (cooking facilities but no food), which can be rented from Statskog with advance notice.
The charming cabin from the 1800s has 4 beds / 1 bedroom. Travel by car or taxi to the access road between Ådneram and Svartevassdammen. From Elsvatnet follow the marked tourist trail to Taumevatn (3 km / 1.5 hours) and from here row a boat for approx 30mins to the north side of Taumevatn. (Alternatively, you can travel the last streatch via foot on the marked trail for 3 km along the east side of Taumevatn).
In winter there are marked ski trails to the cabin (from the beginning of February). Free fishing nets in both Taumevatn and Grønaplasstjørn are included (bring your own yarn). Fishing licenses must be purchased. This is a great hiking area, with a great hike along a marked trail around Taumevassknuten.
