The old post office at Konsmo

The Old Post Office is a part of the Child Migration museum.
What is now the rural museum at Konsmo was the home of the local sheriff between 1839 and 1877.
The famous Ole Høyland from Grindheim spent time in custody on the 2nd floor. He escaped a total of 11 times from Norwegian prisons, and in 1834 managed to steal 64,000 riksdaler from the Bank of Norway!
The museum is home to temporary exhibitions and a café.
