Whether you are a boat owner or one of the many who enjoy coastal life and coastal culture, the Risør Tree Boat Festival is something you must include in your plans for the summer. The festival is among the most important and most popular wooden boat and coastal cultural events in Europe.

Every year, the festival is visited by 10-12,000 guests on the first weekend in August. Guests come to see some of the world's most beautiful wooden boats, experience traditional crafts and coastal culture. We arrange large and small concerts with local, national and international artists. We have a number of regattas for sailors, classic motorboats, skiffs, rowing boats, etc. In addition, there are separate activities for children with pirate trips, shows and entertainment, boat building, aquarium visits, etc.

In the center stands the large selection of beautiful wooden boats. Here there are elegant motorboats, small skiffs, beautiful sailing boats, wooden schooners, Viking boats, Colin Archer lifeboats, steamships, fishing vessels, old workhorses and many other classic wooden boats. Which boats are coming this year?

You can enjoy a walk along the harbor to the sight of boats and bustling folk life, or feel the excitement of the many sailing regattas in the archipelago between the islands outside Risør. Or you can watch the motorboat parade to the sound of the roar of the engine.
