Grønfjell/Bjønnehiet is a 2.5 kilometre hiking trail with nice views over Nordfjord in Vegårshei.
The two paths split, one of which leads to Bjørnehiet that has two large caves in the mountain that can be used for accommodation in bad weather.
Follow county road 414 from Vegårshei center and drive six kilometres towards Sundet. Take the road towards Øygardslia (Mo) and stay on this to the end which is about eight kilometres long. There you will pay a toll to be on this road which runs up to Kleiv and Trandlemyrene where there is parking.
The starting point of the trip is the same as for the trip to Vedlaus but then take the marked trail westward, about 2.5 kilometres to the Green Mountains (495metres above sea level) with fine views over the Nordfjord. There is a myth that perhaps there were one bears there, but nobody knows for sure.
A map can be purchased at the Esso petrol station in Vegårshei, Kilsloftet, Færsnes Gjestegård or the Vegårshei kommune house in the centre of town.
