"Lakkenstova" - 14 km return trip
There is a well-marked path to Lakkenstova, one of the cabins run by the Norwegian Trekking Association (in short DNT).
People often use Lakkenstova as their starting point for longer hikes into the mountains, but it is also popular for day trips. The cabin sleeps 36 people.
At 1041 metres above sea level, Skoræ is the highest mountain in the region.If you want to walk up to Skoræ, you have to divert from the marked path.
The walk to Lakkenstova is 7 km one way and takes approximately 2.5 hours. Most people start from the car park at Farvannet or from Ljosland Fjellstove. There is a well-marked path all the way to the cabin.
