The trail runs through a traditional mining and mineral area, in forest terrain with magnificent views of Evje and the river Otra. Recommended footwear: hiking shoes or solid trainers. As a 1.8-km stretch of the trail has a height difference of 250 metres, walking poles might be a good idea.
Feel free to write in the guest book at the summit.
If you would like a longer hike than the return trip to Mykleåsen, you may take a detour to the Flaat nickel mine and enjoy a 4.3-km round trip. The path crossing is approx. 350 metres from the Mykleåsen summit.
START: Evje mineral path / WGS84: 58.597982, 7.856083
DURATION: 2-3 hours
LENGTH: 3.6 km return trip
MARKING: blue
LEASH PERIOD: 1. April – 20. August
LEAVE NO TRACE BEHIND
The nature in Evje is unique and magnificent. Do the environment a favour and take the rubbish with you, for the benefit of other hikers.
Each hiker is responsible for his/her own safety.
