Skoræ 10.4 km round trip

Skoræ (1041 m.a.s.l.) is the southernmost Norwegian summit exceeding 1000 metres.
Skoræ, the highest summit in Åseral, is located west of Ljosland.
Starting point at the Ljosland ski centre (700 m.a.s.l.), where car parking is accessible. The hike starts on a gravel road and continues on a trail. Follow the signposted trail from the lake Farevatn up through the valley Farstøldalen until you reach the crossing at Skorstean, 2 km from the summit of Skoræ. The trail is marked/cairned from Skorstean in the direction of the summit. Medium difficulty; splendid views. 5,2 km each way.
During this hike you enter the protected area Setesdal Vesthei - Ryfylkeheiene. It is important to respect wildlife and nature. Keep your dog on a leash, do not leave any garbage behind. Follow the marked trail where practically possible.
