To get to Støylsskarnuten, taking the chairlift from Hovden Alpinsenter to the summit Storenos is a good starting point.
From the viewpoint at Storenos, follow the blue-marked trail passing Støylsskarnuten. After approximately 2,5 kms in mountain terrain you reach the T-marked trail from Hovden to the DNT cabin Sloaros. Follow the trail / cart road down to the car park at Hovden Alpinsenter.
This is an 8-km hike when you start from the summit at Storenos.
There is limited access to water along the trail, so bring your own water bottle. We strongly recommend additional, windproof clothing as this is a mountain hike above the treeline (1200-1300 m.a.s.l).
