In 2021, German tourist Tanja visited Trondheim and Trøndelag.

She spent some exciting days in the region ...

... staying at the venerable Britannia Hotel ...

... treating herself to a full tasting menu at the Michelin-starred restaurant Fagn ...

... and buying fresh crabs from fishermen on the Fosen peninsula.

But who is Tanja? And why are the locals so keen for her to come back?

Is she the world's most wanted tourist?

After you've been on a trip and had a great experience and met some memorable people, fond memories of your visit stay with you for a long time. That's how it is for the locals you have been visiting too!

Tanja made a big impact on the people she met during her stay in Trøndelag. That's why they teamed up with Visit Norway to make a campaign to find Tanja and bring her back.

Tanja had no idea about all this, so as you can image she was very surprised when we finally tracked her down outside Munich. We filmed Tanja as she was shown the video the people of Trøndelag had made for her, for the very first time.
