Breesgård Turistsenter – Family-Friendly Camping at the Foot of Storhornet

Just 12 kilometers west of Oppdal town center, nestled beneath the impressive Storhornet mountain, you'll find Breesgård Turistsenter – a year-round campsite perfect for families and nature lovers. Surrounded by stunning scenery, the site offers a peaceful retreat with activities for all seasons.

The campsite includes around 145 permanent caravan spots and 20 cabins available for long-term rental. Additional cabins and apartments can be rented on a daily basis. At the center of the campsite, you'll find a charming swimming pond with free use of boats, a covered grill area, and access to hiking trails through forests and mountains.

In winter, it’s just a short drive to ski lifts and a public swimming facility in Oppdal. On-site, there’s a sledding hill with floodlights and groomed ski trails that start right from the campsite—perfect for a summit trip to Storhornet or a gentler outing along Lake Gjevillvatnet.

Shops, a café, and a restaurant are just a short walk away (1 km), making this a convenient and cozy destination for both weekend breaks and extended holidays.
