Oppdal Safari's canoes and kayaks are stationed near the famous mountain lake Gjevilvatnet – a scenic mountain farm valley in Trollheimen with the inviting sandy beach of Rauøra, perfect for a pleasant rest stop. Or how about paddling all the way to the adventurous Vassendsætra?

The boats available for rent are highly stable and easy to paddle. The canoes accommodate up to 2 persons, while the kayaks are single-seaters. It's mandatory for everyone on the water to wear a life jacket, which is included along with paddles in the rental and must be picked up at Oppdal Safari's office in Oppdal Sentrum.

Terms and Safety

When renting a canoe, you are responsible for the equipment and safety. Oppdal Safari expects the equipment to be returned in the same condition as when picked up. It's also expected that you, as the renter, have the necessary skills to use the equipment safely.
