Norway's highest indoor climbing wall - welcome up!

Local climbers have worked long and hard to realize the dream of an indoor climbing center in Oppdal. The dream finally came true in March 2021 when the doors opened to Krux Klatring, which boasts the longest route in the country for indoor climbing, at a whopping 25 meters.

The climbing center is located in the innovation center in the heart of Oppdal city center, and it's a landmark building - you can clearly see it, with its climbing tower covered in slate outdoors. You can book a session in advance, but the facility is also open for drop-ins. Krux Klatring and Krux Trening share a reception, so it's possible to spend a few hours both climbing and working out.

Krux Klatring is open to everyone, whether you're an expert or a beginner, or anything in between. Routes are set up in various difficulty levels, so even those who constantly have chalk under their nails can challenge themselves. The climbing center has a whopping 800 square meters of climbing surfaces, with approximately 250 square meters for bouldering and the rest for rope climbing with 7 auto belayers.

Did you know that a crux is a difficult section that must be overcome in climbing sports? With a Norwegian twist with a K, it simply means climbing in Oppdal!
