Rafting – Standard Trip

Join Opplev Oppdal as you navigate the rushing rivers and long rapids of Oppdal. For over 30 years, both locals and tourists have enjoyed rafting on the Driva River with Opplev Oppdal's experienced guides! Rafting is available for both beginners and those with some experience. Bring your friends, family, school class, colleagues, or even your entire company for a wet and exciting adventure!

Standard Tour: This tour has a difficulty level of 3-4 out of 6 on the international whitewater rating scale. It is approximately 14 km long and takes around 3 hours. The minimum age is 15, but this varies with water levels. When the water is high, typically in June, the minimum age is 18 and the difficulty level rises to 4+. In periods of lower water, usually late July through the end of the season, the difficulty level is 3, and the minimum age drops to 12.

Participants meet at the rafting center in the Wilderness Camp. Here, guests change in the locker rooms and receive a safety briefing and paddling instruction. This is a varied and exciting tour suitable for most adults. The trip starts off calmly but soon encounters a series of diverse rapids, including Pyramidesteinen, Hakka, Ålmadroppet, Haikjeften, Brukarene, Vengavoll, Gammastryka, S-svingen, Bruhølen, Gydasteinen, Fliphølen, and finally Annestryket. Each rapid has a name inspired by stories and characters from past rafting adventures. There’s also the option to jump into the river from a cliff during the trip. The guides are adept at adjusting the level of excitement according to the participants' desires and abilities.

Participants are transported back to the rafting center after the tour, where showers are available.
