On the 2nd floor of Domus Oppdal, you will find Samvirkelaget. Samvirkelaget is the shopping center Domus's own café, offering a buffet, simple dishes, salads, a deli counter, coffee treats, soft serve and scoop ice cream, a playroom, and a cozy atmosphere with a beautiful view.

There has always been a café associated with the shopping center, and when Domus Oppdal reopened after renovations in 2020, many were excited to see what the new name and concept of the café would be. The name Samvirkelaget refers to the community that is part of Domus's hundred-year history. Today, it is also a gathering place with good food as the main attraction. The kitchen is open, so you can see the chefs preparing your food, and the friendly and welcoming staff ensures that the sense of community at Samvirkelaget remains strong.

With a playroom and a nursing room next door, this is also a popular meeting place for parents with strollers and small children who need to run around a bit.

When the café opened its doors to the completely new premises, it also adopted its new name: A samvirkelag is an open association of consumers aimed at improving the economic and social conditions of its members by enabling them to sell and possibly produce the goods as consumers. The term is also used for the retail outlets of the consumer movement.
