In an old wooden building dating from the 18th century, you will discover one of Trondheim’s cosiest cafés, Baklandet Skydsstation. All the food is home-cooked and, for many of the dishes, you can choose between a main course and a light meal. Baklandet Skydsstation is especially renowned for its Danish herring table and klapp-kak (a local sandwich). The café also bakes its own gluten-free bread. The floor slants and the furniture squeaks, but this just adds to the charm at Skydsstationen.
