Private Guide


A private guide is perfect for photographers, families, couples, small groups and people who want a tailor-made programme in and around Longyearbyen. Included in the price is an experienced and local guide (who speaks Norwegian, English, German and Swiss German) with a car for a total of 8 hours (please contact us if you wish to book the guide for more than one day). Longyearbyen and the surrounding area offer varied landscapes with geological highlights, lots of history, research stations, world-famous buildings and infrastructure such as the Global Seed Vault and you also have the opportunity to observe much of Svalbard's wildlife. What to visit: The entire settlement of Longyearbyen, the global seed store, the university, the church, the cemetery, the house, the hospital, the town hall, the power station, the governor's house, the governor's office, various dog kennels (from outside), EISCAT radars & Kjell Henriksen observatory, Mine 1-7, Operafjellet (in good visibility), Longyearbreen, Hotellneset, the airport, Vestpynten and much more. Only in summer: Hiking on Longyearbreen moraine with fossil search, Longyearbreen, Sarkofagen, Trollsteinen, Platåfjellet, Sukkertoppen, Endalen, Bjørndalen, Blomsterdalshøgda, Lindholmhøgda, Bolternosa, Breinosa, Foxfonna.
