The official travel app for Norway gives you information about travel businesses nearby when you are in Norway. You can also use it as a planning tool before you travel to Norway.

The app has literally thousands of places to stay (hotels, hostels, B&Bs etc.), restaurants, activities, attractions and events.

Drivers should pay attention to the “National Tourist Routes” section to find the 18 National Tourist Routes: bold and innovative architecture in majestic nature all over Norway.

For food lovers the app presents ”Norwegian Foodprints” - a mark of quality for restaurants. The app also has a list of eco certified providers for all those wanting to make sustainable choices.

Travelling to and in Norway

  • Keep an eye on your flights with SAS’s free travel app for iPhone and Android, Norwegian’s Travel Assistant for iPhone and Android, and Widerøe’s app for iPhone and Android.
  • Norwegian Railways (NSB) has an app for iPhone, Android and Windows Phone.
  • If you are travelling with Hurtigruten, keep track of their ships with their iPhone app.
  • Get the lowest taxi price: The app Mivai compares price estimates from over 600 companies in Norway. Note that the prices are only indicative of the actual cost, they are not binding offers. Ask the operator what the actual cost will be as well.

Out and about

  • Going hiking? Find out how far you are from what you see and what it’s called with In Sight for iPhone and Android
  • Festival goers will want to check out Victorinox’s Festival Ready app, available for iPhone and Find my Friends, available for iPhone and Android.
  • If you have bought something that doesn't work, you might find ECC-Net: Travel, available for Android and iPhone, useful. It contains information about consumer rights in 23 EU languages plus Norwegian and Icelandic.
  • To save money on online maps, check out the offline maps available in Stay.com's app, available for iPhone and Android.
  • To keep data traffic usage low, use Onavo Extend for iPhone and Android to check usage, compress the transferred data, and disconnect automatically when you are connected to a wifi-network.
