The Big Band Series featuring the Orstad Big Band and the Sandnes Big Band

Orstad Big Band is known for its creative and unpredictable sound. Led by jazz musician and composer Didrik Ingvaldsen, the band explores both original material and specially arranged works, often offering musical surprises that challenge and delight the audience.

Sandnes Big Band has been an important part of the big band scene in Rogaland for several decades. With roots dating back to the 1970s and a line-up combining experience, enthusiasm and accomplished soloists, the band delivers swinging jazz, strong melodies and a repertoire ranging from classic big band standards to contemporary arrangements.
