The Mary Wallopers come to Rockefeller on Friday 12 June!
The folk rock band The Mary Wallopers have grown into a full-fledged band, built out from a trio raised on Irish musical traditions. During the pandemic they gained a large fanbase through streaming concerts that quickly achieved cult status, and their audience grew both in Ireland and around the world.
They released their first EP in 2019, before their self-titled debut album arrived in 2022. The following year they released the album “Irish Rock'n'Roll”, and in the summer of 2024 they put out the EP “Home Boys Home”.
In recent years they have achieved great success on tour, with a number of sold-out headline shows internationally. They played at by:Larm in 2023 and at the Øya Festival in 2025, where they also received excellent reviews. The concerts have become true singalong celebrations with high energy. These are Irish ballads with a modern heart, and a night where it is just as easy to laugh as it is to lose your voice!
